When considering career paths in Education, teaching often takes the spotlight as the most recognized and fulfilling role. However, the field offers a diverse range of equally impactful services beyond teaching. In my latest article, I explore some of these alternative services.
I am becoming increasingly more passionate about finding ways for teens to discover their skills and what they want to pursue as a career. In a recent meeting with a staff member in the Chandler Unified School District, we were discussing an internship program for teens who want to pursue “Education” but aren’t sure what roles exist beyond being a Classroom Teacher. So I wanted to share some descriptions of “Educational Services” that I hope will benefit our youth considering majors, parents exploring alternatives and supports to institutional education, and even current teachers looking at other ways they can leverage their skills.
The category “Educational Services” include a range of offerings that aid the transfer of knowledge and skills. These services are primarily engaged in providing education and training on a range of subjects, they may be public/private, for-profit/non-profit. Knowing these services could help you understand what to expect in your child’s education journey and the support you can get.
