I earned a full scholarship to college, so I was able to pursue my passion and purpose: impacting others by helping them feel successful and confident. As an elementary schooler, I struggled with reading and it wreaked havoc on my self confidence. Luckly, an amazing teacher transformed my path. With the current state of education, students today rarely receive individualized support. I do what I do so parents have peace-of-mind that their children are supported in their learning. I got started in teaching as a special education assistant. Wanting to make a bigger impact, I taught 4th grade as a Teach For America Corps Member. Before leaving the classroom to pursue full-time professional tutoring, I helped open BASIS Phoenix Primary as a learning expert and 1st and 2nd grade mentor teacher.
