Tutoring that fits!

Services

Direct tutoring is a one-on-one individualized educational service that is provided after school.  Tutors provide supplementary materials that support academic content that your child is currently working on in school.  With your permission, we will communicate with your learner’s teacher to make sure we are on the right track and providing the necessary support.  Let us meet your child’s needs and enhance their learning experience.  Placing the Pieces is currently in-person services in the Mesa, Tempe, Chandler, Gilbert, and Queen Creek areas.

Why I Started My Business

As a teacher who taught through the COVID pandemic, I got a firsthand look at what our education system could and could not do for our learners. I watched as my own children and learners struggled through the inconsistencies of being virtual and in-person students. I watched as learning gaps formed and/or grew even larger than they were before. From this, Placing the Pieces was born. I knew I wanted to support more than just the learners in my classroom and what better way than to provide educational tutoring services. Our mission is to provide learners with equitable academic support that empowers higher level thinking to ensure student success through individualized tutoring services. We support ALL K-5 learners in reading, writing, or math with supports tailored specifically for your learner.

About Me

Hi, my name is Casey, and I want to welcome you to Placing the Pieces Academic Tutoring, LLC. I am a master’s certified Special Education teacher providing educational tutoring services that are individualized to fit your learner’s needs. For the past ten years, I have provided direct instruction to students inside the classroom. Recently, I have decided that I want to bring students the support they need while in the comforts of their own home. Our goal is to aid and enhance your learner’s school experience by assisting them in reading, writing, or math for grades K-5, while encouraging them to use a higher level of thinking for continued success. First time using a tutor? Concerned that your learner might not connect with an unfamiliar face? No worries! When I am not teaching, I am a mom to five, so I totally get it. Both teacher and mom life have prepared me for this adventure, and I am confident that you won’t regret this decision to give your learner the tools they need for success!
