TUNE into READING is a downloadable or web based reading development tool that gets amazing results because it is a fun way for kids to practice their critical reading skills. Learners tend to forget that they are working on reading and have fun with this karaoke-style game. Why I started the Business
Carlo and Alix Franzblau started ELP in January, 2000 and launched SINGINGCoach, in 2003 to rave reviews and prestigious awards from PC Magazine, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal and Parade Magazine. Carlo noticed that struggling readers using SINGINGCoach found their reading got better quickly, and ELP developed a reading intervention product, TUNE into READING in 2006. Literacy researchers at the University of South Florida performed five years of rigorous research studies and documented the dramatic benefits of the singing approach for all levels of readers. White papers were published in 2011 describing why the singing approach is so effective and they named this method “Melodic Learning” (read the Wikipedia article).
