In any learning environment, a child’s cognitive ability impacts reasoning, perception, memory, verbal & mathematical ability, and problem solving. Our certified teachers at Mindstrong Academy provide the Arrowsmith Program, a cognitive enrichment program which has been around for 40+ years. The goal of the Arrowsmith Program is to change and strengthen cognitive areas that affect learning. These targeted cognitive exercises provide just enough novelty and complexity that students are both engaged AND challenged. In response to this consistent training and exercise, your student can accelerate the acquisition of core academic skills and reach academic performance goals.

Why I started the Business
At Mindstrong Academy, we offer a program that offers families real hope. A child’s Cognitive Ability impacts reasoning, perception, memory, verbal & mathematical ability, and problem solving. That means if even one of these skills is weak, no matter what kind of information is coming your way, grasping, retaining, or using that information is impacted. BUT – Cognitive abilities are not fixed and can be enhanced.
Using structured repetitive exercises that work the brain like a muscle in the gym, the Arrowsmith Program is to change the student’s capacity to learn by changing the brain’s ability to change its physical structure and functional organization in response to training and experience.

About Me
The Story of Mindstrong Academy
In 2011, Keri was asked by a colleague at Horizon Prep, a small private school in Rancho Santa Fe, California, to look into the Arrowsmith Program headquartered in Toronto, Canada. After doing some research and speaking with an existing Arrowsmith Program at a school in the United States, she told her best friend and fellow educator, Joy, about this incredible, life changing program. Determined to offer something better that gave real hope and permanent “brain changes”, Keri and Joy began researching how to bring the program to San Diego, California. With the support of Dr. Kush, the headmaster of Horizon Prep, a few key angel investors and many miracles, the program came to life in the fall of 2013 at Horizon Prep.
We currently offer the Arrowsmith Program on a few campuses in Southern California, AND we offer a virtual classroom for out-of-area students to join when it fits their schedule. Please contact us directly to learn more about how this program can help your student.
