Services
We teach traditional blacksmithing skills in private lessons and group classes, including teaching students with special learning needs. Classes are usually onsite at my spacious indoor facility in Tempe, but some classes are online, including lectures from Master Smiths around the world.
Our lessons range from fun “blacksmith-assisted” lessons for beginners where a professional blacksmith will help each student through a beginner’s project, all the way through professional blacksmith certification and blacksmith business coaching.
In addition to the onsite staff of certified instructors, we also have Master Smiths and World Champion blacksmiths teaching from our shop several times a year.
Why I started the Business
I started my business to provide a deep learning experience for people with a passion for blacksmithing and to grow the community of blacksmiths in Arizona. I work with parents to customize private lessons to fit their student’s needs and goals. Parents can also learn how to coach and support their student if they have the basic tools at home.

About Me
I have spent most of my career working in technology sales for Life Sciences. Around 2010 I discovered a passion for working with iron and steel as a hobby, and I started taking private lessons from master instructors around the country, sometimes around the world. This hobby eventually grew into a powerful passion and motivating force. Eventually, I earned my professional blacksmith certification and spent 40 hours a week working and teaching in my own shop, alongside my 50+ hour-a-week tech career. When I had to make a choice between them, it was easy to choose working 80+ hours a week on my passion, vs 50+ hours a week for someone else’s corporation.
I have never felt more fulfilled in my life than when teaching blacksmithing. What inspires me is the opportunity to help people connect with their passion and find that same feeling of accomplishment and fulfillment in their own lives.
